JOB SUMMARY:

Larry’s Auto & Truck Repair is seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed 310T Technician to join our team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with commercial trucks and trailers, and a valid 310T license. This role involves diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently, and supporting our reputation for quality, honesty, and excellent customer service.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy truck and trailer repair
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes
  • Proficient with diagnostic software and specialized repair tools
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems
  • Safe and confident operation of heavy vehicles
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and shop equipment safety
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Team player with clear, professional communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (required)
  • Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License(bonus asset not required)
  • A valid Ontario Drivers License with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed technician (preferred)
  • Certification in forklift operation or WHMIS(preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of aftertreatment systems (DEF, DPF, SCR)
  • Experience with welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and software
  • Must supply own hand tools
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks and trailers in accordance with OEM standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
  • Perform annual safety inspections of vehicles through DriveON
  • Complete accurate documentation for all repairs, services, and inspections
  • Conduct road tests as required
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment effectively
  • Operate forklifts safely to move parts and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and shop management regarding repairs and timelines
  • Perform additional shop duties as required to support day-to-day operations
