The Caravan Group is currently seeking a licensed 310T or 310J Truck and Trailer Technician to join our afternoon shift team in our Oakville terminal. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be responsible for fleet maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various trucks & trailers.
We offer an excellent hourly wage, competitive benefits, and a guaranteed 40 hours/week. Afternoon schedule is M - F, 2:30pm - 11:00pm.
REQUIREMENTS
· Licensed 310T or 310J mandatory.
· 1 to 2 years’ experience as a truck, coach, or trailer technician.
· Interpersonal Skills (working effectively with others)
· Problem-solving & critical thinking skills
· Safety Conscious
· PC literate & ability to work on a tablet
· The ability and drive to work unsupervised in a team environment

Our Fleet mainly consists of Volvo and Freightliner’s, dry and reefer trailers and your duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Inspecting and testing mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
· Diagnosing faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit.
· Repairing or replacing mechanical units or components using hands and power tools, test and adjust units to specifications for proper performance.
· Completing reports to record problems and work performed.
· Use and understand work order history to identify possible work required which will proactively minimize unit downtime
· Perform Preventative maintenance and pre-trip units
