WSP’s Occupational Health and Hygiene business consists of Occupational Hygienists  who design, implement and manage site-specific occupational hygiene services tailored for organisations and based on site-specific risks around Australia. We are seeking a Licensed Asbestos Assessor to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting key clients during their high-risk asbestos removal projects throughout WA. As a Licensed Asbestos Assessor, you’ll: * Air Monitoring: Conduct real-time air (control) monitoring before, during, and after Class A (friable) asbestos removal to verify the effectiveness of containment measures. * Clearance Inspections: Perform thorough visual inspections of removal areas, waste routes, and surrounding vicinities following asbestos removal. * Clearance Certification: Issue formal written Clearance Certificates once satisfied that an area is free of visible asbestos and air fiber levels are below 0.01 fibers/mL. * Asbestos Identification & Auditing: Carry out site surveys, identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), and prepare or update Asbestos Management Plans and Asbestos Registers. * Regulatory Liaison: Act as a technical expert for clients, contractors, and regulators ensuring all documentation like Asbestos Removal Control Plans (ARCPs) meets legal requirements. * Laboratory Coordination: Manage the collection and submission of samples to NATA-accredited laboratories for analysis. * Work from our client’s sites for up to two weeks at a time.    What you’ll bring: * Demonstrated experience in asbestos removal industry practices, typically evidenced by work on at least three to five Class A removal projects within the last five years. * A current Asbestos Assessor Licence issued by a state regulator * Completion of CPCCDE5001 or a tertiary qualification in Science, Building Construction, Occupational Health & Safety, or Environmental Health. * Experience working for extended periods of time in remote locations in challenging conditions * Excellent communication and problem solving skills   Why WSP?
