We are currently hiring a therapist with South Dakota and Iowa licenses (or acquire an Iowa license within 30 days of employment) for a full-time position in Sioux Falls, SD! In this hybrid position, you will be responsible for an IOP program and seeing Iowa patients via telehealth. Midwest Wellness Institute (MWI) is an outpatient multidisciplinary group practice with established office locations in South Dakota and Iowa. We provide general psychotherapy and psychological testing services, medication management services, interventional psychiatric services such as Spravato and TMS, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Services in conjunction with MAT services. What does your day-to-day look like? Diagnose and treat mental health and addiction disorders with the utmost compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients. Work with a variety of clients, including both adults and children. Create and update individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances. Make recommendations/referrals to specialists as necessary. Maintain thorough notes of client interactions and adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Accept a variety of insurance. Attend team meetings and clinical consultative meetings. Requirements Must be a fully licensed addiction counselor (LAC) in South Dakota and willing to get your Iowa license. Must maintain knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and Evidence-Based Models. Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management skills.
Responsibilities
The Licensed Addiction Counselor will diagnose and treat mental health and addiction disorders with compassion and integrity, establishing trusting rapport with clients including both adults and children.
