DESIGN-BUILD ARCHITECT

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our in-house Architect, you will kick off the design-build process with initial customer consultations and work collaboratively through the final stages of construction. You’ll be the visionary behind our projects, balancing creativity with functionality, and ensuring every design exceeds customer expectations while integrating seamlessly with construction realities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and turn their visions into actionable designs.
· Manage design project elements from concept development to completion.
· Develop and present inspiring project proposals that excite clients.
· Prepare conceptual drawings, imagery, specifications, and construction documents.
· Ensure designs meet client needs, budgets, and timelines.
· Conduct research on feasibility, environmental impacts, and code compliance.
· Serve as the architectural lead in the design-build process, coordinating directly with project managers, estimators, and superintendents to align design intent with cost, schedule, and constructability.
· Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs during construction to maintain design integrity and support field teams.
· Mentor in-house architectural team and collaborate with construction professionals.
· Represent Felderman in client meetings, presentations, and community-facing opportunities as a trusted advisor.
