Description

Overview Provides an opportunity for individuals to fulfill the experience requirements for licensure as a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional by providing professional counseling services while under the supervision of an approved supervisor. The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional Candidate/Supervisee’s experience shall be compatible with the knowledge and skills acquired during education in accordance with professional requirements and relevant to the intended area of practice. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another field of study enabling LBHP status. No exceptions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS None COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. BLS can be obtained during orientation. Must have Board approval of the supervision or contract in the state of Oklahoma within one (1) of the following areas of practice: Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Behavioral Practitioner, or Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Must possess and maintain certification and training for any assessment that requires it to be administered and interpreted. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Attorney General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Ability to speak Cherokee a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
