Job Summary: Provides prompt response to customer requests for assistance with facilities, environment, or utilities. Repairs or troubleshoots facilities systems and components, and communicates results with the customer. Works as a team member with other corrective maintenance technicians to provide effective repairs and seek ways to eliminate equipment downtime. Education: Required: High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: N/A Experience: Required: Four years of facilities maintenance or construction. Preferred: Experience in sterilizer maintenance preferred. Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical License recognized by the City of Chattanooga, HVAC Certification or equivalent, Industrial Maintenance Certification or equivalent, and Professional Locksmith Certification, Medical Gas Certification (Brazing). Preferred: N/A Department Position Summary: Good team member. Must ask for and offer assistance when needed. Knowledge of and ability to use wide assortment of tools needed for corrective maintenance. Strong mechanical, plumbing and/or electrical aptitude. Ability to communicate well with customers and coworkers. Must maintain corrective maintenance logs and submit to the shift supervisor in a timely manner, as specified.
