Licensed Electrician Full-Time | Non-Exempt ASI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed Electrician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, installation, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utilities and manufacturing equipment while supporting production schedules and maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in industrial environments. Salary Range and Benefits Hourly wage. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of industrial electrical equipment, including but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, variable frequency drives, inverters, boilers, compressors, motors, electrical panels, transformers, and electrical machinery. Diagnose electrical and electromechanical equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Install electrical conduit, wiring, circuits, and distribution panels for industrial equipment and systems. Document completed work using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Support utilities personnel and manufacturing teams to ensure continuous and efficient equipment operation. Assist Utilities Technicians and manufacturing personnel with repairs and adjustments to prevent production downtime. Prepare service reports and complete required documentation for all work performed. Utilize computers for required training, documentation, and email communications. Follow all safety rules, GMP requirements, OSHA regulations, and established quality procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Comply with ISO, GMP, and GDP standards, required training, and audit processes. Adhere to NFPA 70E electrical safety standards. Be available to work extended hours as operational needs require. Requirements Valid Electrician License (Perito Electricista) issued by the Puerto Rico Department of State. Technical Degree in Electricity from an accredited educational institution. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Licensed Electrician. Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical plans. Ability to read and interpret instructions in both English and Spanish. Fully bilingual in Spanish and English. Knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards, including NFPA 70E. Availability to work extended or adjusted schedules as required. Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail and precision. Meticulous and methodical approach to work. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, both internal and external. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Work Environment This role operates in both indoor and outdoor environments across industrial facilities and project sites. Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours. Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent reaching above shoulder level and below the waist. Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation. Ability to bend, climb, crawl, squat, balance, and climb stairs frequently. Regular exposure to varying temperatures and humidity. Equipment Used Electrical hand and power tools. Diagnostic equipment. Computer for CMMS documentation, training, and communication.
