QUALIFICATIONS

  • 309A Licensed Electrician (or Master Electrician Licence)
  • Completion of a 9,000-hour electrical apprenticeship program
  • 5–10 years of experience in new residential construction, high-end custom homes and commercial settings
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Strong knowledge of OESC 2024 and OESC/ESA Bulletins
  • Must have personal tools and reliable transportation
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician – 309A (or Master Electrician) to join our team, working on projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This role involves working on a variety of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, with a primary focus on new construction and high-end residential custom homes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Electrical Installations & Maintenance
  • Read and interpret electrical code specifications, drawings, and line diagrams
  • Rough-in, wiring, and finishing for new construction
  • Perform wiring, rough-ins, and service panel installations for 200 amp (overhead and underground) and 400 amp underground systems, with or without a 400 AMP disconnect switch
  • Install smart home wiring (e.g., Control 4)
  • Work with low-voltage wiring and LED lights and profiles
  • Testing & Troubleshooting
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems, circuits, and components to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC) and ESA bulletins
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Material Management & Reporting
  • Conduct material take-offs and ensure all required materials are available
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Provide daily progress reports to supervisors
