Description
We are seeking a licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide on-site medical support for an active construction project. The EMT will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, administering first aid, maintaining OSHA-compliant medical documentation, and promoting a safe work environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of all site personnel. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide immediate medical care and first aid to injured or ill employees on-site * Assess injuries and determine need for advanced medical care or emergency transport * Coordinate with local EMS, fire departments, and medical facilities as necessary * Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with OSHA regulations * Monitor job site for health and safety risks * Assist with incident investigations and injury reporting * Conduct routine safety inspections related to medical preparedness * Maintain medical supplies, AEDs, trauma kits, and first aid stations * Support implementation of site safety and health programs * Provide health education and safety training to site personnel as needed * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety policies ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS * Current state EMT certification (EMT-B or higher) * Current CPR/AED certification (BLS required) * Minimum 1–3 years EMT experience (construction or industrial experience preferred) * Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards * Ability to assess and respond quickly in emergency situations * Strong documentation and communication skills * Ability to work independently on an active construction site ---------------------------------------- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in construction, industrial, or high-risk job site environments * Familiarity with OSHA 300 logs and injury documentation * ICS or site safety training * Ability to pass background check and drug screening ---------------------------------------- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs * Ability to stand, walk, climb, and navigate uneven terrain * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions ---------------------------------------- WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is based on an active construction site and may involve exposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and changing weather conditions. PPE will be required at all times.
