Description Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervision designation (LISW-S) to serve as a Supervisor for our Family Case Management and Counseling teams. This role provides supportive clinical and administrative supervision while allowing the supervisor to remain connected to direct service through a small, manageable caseload. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven social worker who enjoys mentoring staff, ensuring high-quality services, and contributing to a collaborative, trauma-informed environment. An active Ohio LISW-S is required for this position. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and team clinical supervision to Family Case Managers and dependent licensed counselors Support staff in treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and evidence-based, trauma-informed practices Monitor and support clinical documentation, productivity, and compliance standards Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations (3-month and annual) Maintain a small caseload (approximately 10%) to remain engaged in direct service work Collaborate with agency leadership and community partners to coordinate care and improve client outcomes Utilize outcome data and feedback to support continuous quality improvement Requirements Active Ohio LISW-S (required) Minimum of 5 years of mental health experience; supervisory experience preferred Strong clinical judgment with the ability to mentor, guide, and support clinical staff Knowledge of community behavioral health systems Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required insurance Who This Role Is a Great Fit For This position is ideal for an LISW-S who: Enjoys clinical leadership and staff development Wants a supervisory role without a full therapy caseload Values collaboration, stability, and mission-driven work Is seeking a long-term role with meaningful community impact Why Work at Appleseed?
