INSURANCE AGENT
This role is responsible for prospecting and selling policies and packages customized to meet the needs of our members and customers through member and internet lead calls while complying with carrier underwriting guidelines, agency policies and procedures and state regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to perform to goal with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Successful track record of growth including both outbound and inbound sales prospecting with ability to ask for and close a sale.
- Ability to foster relationships, network, gain trust will generate referrals/lead opportunities in addition to leads generated by AAA Washington
- Knowledge of sales techniques, prospecting systems, CRMs like Salesforce.
- Experience in insurance sales or customer service with knowledge of EPIC, comparative raters, and carrier guidelines a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Developing knowledge of personal and commercial lines and life insurance including fundamental insurance principles, underwriting and risk selection, and policy provisions and coverage for all agency carriers.
- Ability to type and working knowledge of computers, MS Suite and the internet. Competency using agency & carrier applications and systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally, one on one and in group presentation, in writing, and utilizing effective listening skills.
- A strong sense of urgency and willingness to take extra measures when solving problems and getting work completed.
- Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict, relate positively to people in stressful situations, and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to address multiple demands and adjust style and approach to suit situations that involve rapidly changing tasks, shifting priorities, simultaneous demands or transitions into new assignments.
- Able to make timely and sound decisions, understanding the impact and implications and providing feedback on outcomes.
- Willing to take extra measures and independent action to solve problems and get work done when the situation calls for it while holding self and others accountable.
- Skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, establishing rapport and gaining the trust of others.
