Description The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a 1099 contracted position. We are currently looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with children and teens, available during evening and/or weekend hours. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team if desired and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings or supervision. This position serves both in person and telehealth clients. Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption. Must have LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent but open to an LSW or LAPC who is within one year of obtaining full clinical licensure. Supervision towards licensure can be provided. Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required. Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC or LCSW) or licensure (LSW, LAPC) with ability to obtain clinical licensure within first year of hire required. Minimum of one year experience in clinical work with children required. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment required. Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions required. Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems required. Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption preferred.
