Description SynTerra is seeking an experienced Mining or Civil Engineer to bring technical expertise and innovative solutions to our clients. This role requires a balance of independent project work, client collaboration, and teamwork with fellow engineering and environmental professionals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of engineering experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in both office and field settings. What You’ll Do Conduct engineering analyses, develop designs, and support preparation of construction drawings. Manage and execute multiple tasks across various projects. Participate in field work and occasional travel to client sites. Document and follow through on professional commitments, coordinate meetings, and manage project schedules. Leverage advanced office software to create, edit, and deliver professional documents and presentations. Interpret site data, construction plans, historical references, and investigations to deliver accurate project documentation. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory representatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mining (or Civil) Engineering preferred, other engineering fields considered. Most clients served from this office are in the Mining Industry. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in environmental consulting is a plus. Knowledge of CAD, and/or GIS programs a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel overnight occasionally. Physical & Work Environment Ability to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty, noisy, or weather-exposed environments. Sit or stand for long durations; climb inclines and ladders as needed. Lift up to 50 pounds.
