POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Licensed Optician, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch optical products and services. You will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting the right eyewear, providing expert guidance on frames and lenses, and ensuring proper fittings. Your expertise in optical sales, customer service, and frame selection will contribute to our high standards of patient care and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with frame selection based on face shape, style preferences, and prescription needs.
• Accurately dispense and fit eyeglasses, ensuring proper measurements, adjustments, and frame alignment.
• Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and lens care to ensure they make informed decisions.
• Assist with optical sales, upselling lenses, and frame upgrades to meet customers’ needs.
• Conduct visual inspections of eyewear and ensure they meet prescription requirements before final fitting.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, keeping frames properly stocked and displayed.
• Process orders for glasses and lenses, including managing patient records and submitting orders to the lab.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest optical trends, products, and technology to offer the best options to customers.
• Provide general optical advice, including maintenance and care instructions for eyewear.
• Collaborate with the optometrist/optician team to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Optician
• Proven experience in optical sales and retail customer service (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of eyewear products, lens types, and frame selection.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Proficient in using optical equipment, including lensometers, pupillometers, and fitting tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
