JOB SUMMARY:

As an Optician, you will assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their vision needs and personal style. You will be responsible for fitting, adjusting, and repairing eyeglasses, as well as interpreting prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Licensed Optician (preferred)
• Previous experience in optical retail or eye care (preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Familiarity with optical equipment and iFile software

• Assist patients with frame selection based on prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences
• Take accurate measurements including pupillary distance and segment height
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Interpret optical prescriptions and ensure lens specifications are met
• Educate patients on lens options and eyewear care
• Process orders and maintain accurate records
• Repair broken frames and perform minor adjustments
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensary
• Support front desk operations as needed
