We are currently seeking a Licensed Optician/Optical Dispenser to join our dynamic team at Central Optometry If you’re passionate about delivering outstanding optical care and want to be part of a collaborative and respected organization, we’d love to hear from you.
Your Role:
As a Licensed Optician/Optical Dispenser, you’ll be a key part of the patient experience—helping individuals find the best eyewear to meet their vision, lifestyle, and fashion needs. You’ll work closely with our optometrists and clinic staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, personalized service.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with frame and lens selection based on prescriptions, lifestyle, and preferences
  • Accurately interpret and fill eyeglass prescriptions
  • Perform adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs to eyewear
  • Educate patients on lens types, coatings, and proper eyewear care
  • Maintain frame inventory and presentation
  • Ensure adherence to all professional and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic environment

Qualifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Opticians of Ontario or at least one year of experience in dispensing eyewear
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Comfortable using optical practice management software and POS systems
  • A collaborative, patient-first mindset
