JOB TITLE: PHARMACIST

Salary: Dependent on Experience + Education
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and accurate dispensing of medications to patients, while providing expert advice on proper medication usage and potential side effects. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and active pharmacist license in [Ontario].
  • Proven experience in a pharmacy setting (retail, hospital, or clinic preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient with pharmacy software and systems.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring proper dosage, instructions, and labeling.
  • Review and interpret physician orders for appropriateness and potential drug interactions or contraindications.
  • Provide patient counselling on medication usage, storage, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances as per regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, order pharmaceuticals, and check for expired or damaged stock.
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Stay current on pharmaceutical developments, drug therapies, and industry best practices.
