OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy treatments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Previous experience with discharge planning is a plus.

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in accordance with medical terminology and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning and follow-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Stay informed about advancements in physiotherapy practices related to orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and outpatient services.
