JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Experience in various settings such as inpatient acute care, outpatient clinics, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or skilled nursing facilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with developing care plans and discharge planning processes will be an advantage. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and a willingness to learn new techniques in physiotherapy are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and assist with follow-up care as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
