JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to assist in developing and implementing effective care plans for patients across diverse age groups, including geriatrics and pediatrics.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience in various settings such as inpatient care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology is essential.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plan development for diverse populations including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care patients is preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
  • Provide direct patient care, including performing therapeutic exercises and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, home exercises, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
