OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care in home health environment. Your expertise in physiotherapy and knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be essential in assisting patients on their journey to recovery.

EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with various basic therapy techniques
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential for effective communication and patient care.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning and developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, utilizing techniques such as trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning.
  • Work with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals requiring rehabilitation.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
