OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. We work with all ages and stages of physical therapy patients. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans and provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient facility. Your expertise in physiotherapy and patient management will contribute significantly to the rehabilitation process, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in trigger point therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve function.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
  • Experience in various settings including inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, home health, acute care, outpatient clinics, orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
  • Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition for patients post-treatment.
  • Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
