Your Opportunity:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides safe and effective nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing care standards within the hospital outpatient setting. Working to the full scope of practice, the LPN assesses, monitors, reports, provides appropriate interventions and documents changes in the patient’s physical, mental, and emotional state. The LPN assists the patient as needed and provides the patient and family with relevant information and any teaching that may be required. The LPN is responsible to collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, delivering consistent quality care, to meet the needs of the patient. As part of a team, you will be working in all the clinic areas within Ambulatory Care. These include Endoscopy; Infusions; Minor surgery procedures; Dressing/Wound clinic; Stress Lab; and Visiting Specialist clinics (ENT and colposcopy); as well as assist in the Orthopedic Clinic In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
