Description HAVAR, Inc. is seeking a skilled LPN to provide quality care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Join a supportive, collaborative team dedicated to improving lives! Medication Administration Oversight * Working with Company RN, ensure compliance and oversite with applicable medication administration rules * In home sites, review medication administration and treatment records and monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with physician’s orders. * Assist RN with maintaining accuracy of physicians’ orders. * Monitor medication storage, labeling, and proper disposal of obsolete or outdated medications. * Familiarity with Department of Developmental Disabilities rules preferred but not required. * Assess individuals’ health status and collaborate with healthcare providers. * Review medication error reports and assist in development of prevention plans. * May be called upon to coordinate, or assist with, medical appointments. Training and Support * Act as a resource for unlicensed direct care staff for clinical or medication questions and relevant procedures. * Observe staff displaying medication administration skills and assist with staff training as needed. * Supervised by an RN Requirements * LPN in good standing. * Must have a valid driver's license and live in reasonable distance from Washington County. * Must be able to pass a background check and pass a drug test * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. * Will be trained in the Department of Developmental Disabilities medication administration (categories 1, 2, and 3). * Excellent documentation, organizational, assessment, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently or with a team, and travel between service locations and respond to urgent health concerns. Job Type and Compensation * Part-time - 16 - 20 hours weekly with potential for more hours. Paid travel time and mileage between sites. * Pay rate - $25.00 hourly
