Description The LPN works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. This candidate must be self-motivated, action-oriented, and compassionate about care of their patients in the community. Responsibilities and Duties Complete patient assessments Administers medications as ordered by the providers Performs lab tests such as A1C, EKG's, and urinalysis Charts accurately in patient EHR Provides patient support and education for testing and procedures Performs tasks ordered by providers and contacts patients with test results Other duties assigned Generous benefits, including accrued paid time off, 7 paid holidays, 1 Anniversary Award (after first year). Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: License: Current LPN license to practice in the State of Maryland or compact state CPR Certification Experience: Pediatric and Family Practice Experience preferred but will consider new graduates Adequate typing skills to be able to enter data into the EHR efficiently Basic computer skills to include launching applications, managing ‘Windows’ and Templates in the EHR, and using a Tablet PC PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT: Physical: Minimum physical effort required. Intermittent sitting with freedom of movement. Occasional walking, bending, lifting, pulling and reaching. Normal vision and hearing required. Mental: Frequent periods of concentration and attention to details with frequent opportunity for diversification of tasks. Frequent interruptions. Sensory requirements include the ability to articulate and comprehend the spoken English language, in addition to being able to read and write the English language. ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a modern well-equipped environment. Interfaces with fellow employees on a daily basis. Uses office equipment daily, multi-line telephone, fax machine, copier, shredder, and computer.
