HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Summary: We are currently seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that enjoys working with culturally diverse children and families in providing comprehensive patient care. Under the general direction of the LPN Manager and the Director of Nursing, the staff LPN will perform a wide variety of patient care activities including: Patient assessment, treatment, and general patient care for the patients’ visit. The Staff LPN and Providers will co-share management of the patient for maximum continuity of care and efficiency. Schedule: Mon/Tues 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; Wed-Fri 9:30 am – 6:00 pm Rotating Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Pay Range: $31.00 – $37.50 per hour* *The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end. Benefits: 3.2 weeks of paid time off (PTO), 3 personal days, and 11.5 paid holidays; employer contributed health, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability and retirement contributions; voluntary flexible spending accounts and disability/critical illness coverage; and employee discounts, referral program, reimbursable licensing fees, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education credits. Required Qualifications: License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 2+ years of experience as an LPN in a Community Health Center is a strong plus Current certification in BLS/CPR Current and complete credentialing as required by licensing boards and agencies Bi-lingual/tri-lingual skills preferred (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required Familiarity and ability to work with diversity of cultural/socio-economic backgrounds General knowledge of cultural backgrounds of patients to be served Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information Competencies: The Pediatric Floor Nurse (LPN) must have a high level of customer service and a positive approach to work with patients. Projects positive attitude about the department and the health center, and offers services to ensure positive experience Ability to maintain an organized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills to effectively communicate with patient Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
