Hiring talented LPNS/LVNS This position requires creativity and flexibility with residents with various medical conditions. The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing the outlined services, following the nurse practice act while upholding and ensuring quality care to all Residents in their care. Preferred experience with POINT CLICK CARE ( PCC) , however not a requirement to apply
Assignments will be reviewed and agreed upon in writing upon hire. After hire, any updates to availability should be provided in writing with a minimum two weeks’ notice.

UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exposure to blood/body fluid possible
  • Exposure to communicable disease(s) possible

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and/or bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks as provided for in the employee handbook.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a Licensed Nurse in the appropriate state LPN/LVN or Compact LPN/LVN if accepted by state.
  • Has familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population. Previous experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Attends or completes online in-services and on-site meeting as required for position.
  • Receives and maintains First Aide, and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is knowledgeable of assigned client’s policies and procedures.
  • Completes required documentation for all assigned duties.
  • Documents and carries all assigned tasks.
  • In coordination with Nursing Management, provides ongoing guidance and oversight to subordinate roles , ie. CNA
  • Works with onsite staff to provide adequate staffing
  • Notifies Staffing Coordinator, Executive Director/Designated Nursing Director when there is not enough staff scheduled.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Maintains confidentiality with resident and fellow employee’s information.
  • medication pass, medication monitoring as needed.
  • Provides delegations of duties to unlicensed staff as appropriate
  • Documents per State Board of Nursing Practice Guidelines.
  • Works with community per facility policy involving incident/accident and/or medication error investigation and documentation.
  • Communicates with resident/family and physicians regarding care needs, incidents, etc.
  • Adheres to dress code.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Director
