Description J&B Medical is expanding to North Dakota! We are seeking an experienced LPN to join our team Remote! MUST HAVE Current License Practical Nurse (LNP) with the State of North Dakota Full Benefits after 30 Days!! PTO after 90 Days! and MORE!!!! Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN This position is responsible for conducting client assessments by phone to determine individual needs for DME. We specialize in Diabetic, Incontinence, Wound Care, Ostomy Care, Infusion and Breast Pumps. Essential Functions: Consults by phone with clients, primary caregiver, primary care physician or specialist, case managers, and other community resources to determine if client qualifies for a particular program. Conduct clinical assessments by phone and documents the client’s medical history. All products ordered must be assessed for use and quantity needs per day. Conduct clinical assessment by phone and documents product need and checks cost vs reimbursement per contract guidelines. Identifies appropriate product and quantity needs based on assessment. If formulary product will not meet needs, then reviews needs and potential solutions with Nurse Manager. Reassesses if there is a change in a client’s medical condition or an increase in quantity request. Obtains prior authorization from the state contract administrator for off-formulary or over-quantity requests. Reviews letters of medical necessity to determine if client qualifies for product or quantity requested. Reviews accounts for accuracy, reporting any errors to the appropriate department manager/leader. Performs diabetic reviews for CGM, Insulin pump and over quantity of testing supplies based on insurance criteria. Understanding of insurance guidelines. Utilize intranet tools to complete assessments. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by manager as needed. Requirements Required Education and Experience: Current License Practical Nurse (LNP) with the State of North Dakota 2+ years of previous work experience demonstrating patience, compassion and strong communication skills Preferred Education and Experience: 3 years of nursing experience Knowledge of medical terminology Medicare and Medicaid background Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Position Type: This is a full-time REMOTE position. Days are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EASTERN STANDARD TIME. ***** EQUIPMENT IS NOT PROVIDED, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN COMPUTER & PRIVATE AREA (HIPPA)
