All benefits contingent on working a scheduled 40hrs a week. Scope Provide nursing and medical services. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. Responsibilities Provide nursing and medical services to clients Provide education regarding prescribed treatment Document in the progress notes the provision of care and the clinical and behavioral observations of clients Administer and document medications, adhering to state and program guidelines Provide first aid and emergency medical care as needed, following program guidelines Transcribe provider orders, following program protocols Measure and document client vital signs Other duties within the scope of practice as outlined by the Washington State Board of Nursing Attend all mandatory meetings Maintain licensure, certification and other requirements for the position. Observe and assess clients in terms of therapeutic response to medication and the nursing care plan. Assist clients with activities of daily living as appropriate Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication. Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput. Adhere to program’s infection control policy and protocols. Plan and lead educational and information groups for clients as assigned. Work to ensure effective communication among team members during and between shifts. Coordinate with school and staff regarding outside medical appointments and activities. Transport and attend medical appointments with residents Work with team members to create and contribute to a positive learning environment for all. Qualifications Qualifications Valid WA State Licensed Practical Nurse, or multi-state or compact licensure One year work experience preferred Experience or knowledge of psychotropic medications Current CPR certification preferred (can be completed upon hire) If role requires driving, must have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and working vehicle.
