EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited/recognized School of Nursing (evidence required)
  • Current RPN or LPN registration (in good standing) with the applicable provincial licensing body
  • Valid CPR certification
    Requirements:
    Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Candidates who have been offered a position are required to provide:

  • A clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening,
  • Proof of being free from TB
  • Two supervisory references

Responsibilities:

As a Licensed/Registered Practical Nurse, you will work to meet the diverse needs of the clients you serve in your community by providing a wide range of nursing services:

  • Build relationships while working one-on-one with your clients to provide care in their own home; deliver the highest quality home health care with compassion, excellence, and reliability
  • Provide client care by using the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, and counseling
  • Provide care according to the established care plan or medical directive of each individual ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, physical comfort, and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent
  • Perform routine and specialized nursing duties (as qualified) in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
  • Provide care including standard care services as well as specialized, client specific procedures when required
