Contributes to the physician’s/NP assessment of office patients and assists the physician/NP as needed with treatment and education of the patient. Under the clinical supervision of the physician/NP, and the administrative direction of the practice manager, demonstrates the ability to perform procedures in the office setting. DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is an acuity adjustable unit providing care to a diverse patient population requiring medical-surgical and telemetry levels of care. In addition, we see higher level of care patients, including but not limited to those on BiPap, titratable drips, or with hemodynamic instability requiring more frequent interventions and monitoring. The PCU is a 24/7/365 service with 25 beds. The team includes hospital medicine, care management, physical therapy and respiratory collaborating together to provide the best patient care possible. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate from an NLN accredited school for Licensed Practice Nursing. Experience: One or more years of experience in a doctor’s office setting required. Licensure/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse, State of Vermont. Certified in CPR. Mental Efforts: Requires hand-eye coordination. Requires manual and finger dexterity. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers or symbols accurately. Requires the use of office equipment, such as typewriter, computer terminal, telephone copier, facsimile. Requires the use of medical equipment, such as stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, infant scale Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires the absence of color blindness. Requires working irregular hours. Requires knowledge of medical terminology. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
