Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients within the care center. Working under the supervision of physicians and the clinical services team, the LPN supports patient care by assisting with examinations, administering medications, and documenting patient information accurately and timely. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment. Licensed Practical Nurse Essential Functions: Provides general nursing care to patients. Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Educates patient & family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness. Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriation information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests. Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies. Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies. Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient's medical records and information.
