Description *We are now offering a $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS for full time* Primecare Medical Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Schuylkill County Prison located in Pottsville, PA. Full Time LPN - Day/Eve two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. PRN all shifts available Responsibilities: The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care. Other responsibilities include: Maintaining security of all medical records Ensuring strict compliance to all applicable pharmacy regulations Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws Conducting sick call for inmate/patients and provide treatment for selected minor illnesses and injuries Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions and progress of patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of nursing care Record, retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record Accompanies and assists PCM physicians during facility rounds Benefits: PrimeCare believes in offering a competitive compensation and benefits package to their employees. Requirements Requirements: Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state in which the facility is located. Clinical decision-making ability. Effective communication skills. Ability to function independently and demonstrating clinical competency. Ability to gain trust of patients and build a working relationship.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care and maintain security of medical records. Responsibilities also include conducting sick calls, documenting patient progress, and assisting physicians during rounds.
