Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) MAT Eagleville, PA Description PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and hard-working MAT Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work Full Time in the medical department at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility located in Eagleville, PA. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under supervision of an RN. Full Time dayshift - 6a-2:30p (Mon-Fri) MAT LPN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is communicated to appropriate personnel. In addition, the Licensed Practical Nurse will also maintain, update and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure. Other responsibilities will include: * Deliver nursing care for Medication Assisted Treatment Program in accordance with PCM Policies and Procedures. Ensures that nursing practice complies with established nursing standards, and scope of practice limitations. *Function as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse and coordinate care for all patients receiving medications for Substance Use Disorder. * Provide comprehensive nursing care while observing and maintaining security requirements. * Performs duties under supervision of an RN pursuant to protocols established by the Medical Director. * Responsible for coordination and implementation of daily dosing of MAT medications in accordance with facility procedures and PCM dosing policy. * Act as MAT patient liaison through permitted communications on behalf of PCM, the contracted facility and outside agencies. * Coordinate care for all MAT Patients and/or applicable candidates by obtaining records, coordinating care and making appropriate referrals. Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws Conducting sick call for inmate/patients and provide treatment illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by PCM Medical Director Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions and progress of inmates/patients and participate in the formulation of the plan of care Record, retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on-the-job and shadowing with the nursing staff. Additional Compensation: In addition to the hourly pay rate PrimeCare Medical also offers Overtime Pay, Shift Differential and Weekend Differential compensation, Premium Holiday Pay, and Employee Referral Bonus opportunities. Requirements A. Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. B. Licensed to practice nursing in the state in which the facility is located. C. Experience in correctional health care delivery system helpful. D. Ability to communicate effectively. E. Ability to function under supervision. F. Demonstrate clinical competency.
