Your Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity in our program for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the Alberta Kidney Care – North (AKC-N) program. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Decisions are made in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The LPN provides patient and family centered care to acute and chronic renal failure patient populations. The Licensed Practical Nurse will practice within the guidelines and philosophy of AKC-N. You will be encouraged and expected to work at your full scope of practice and to perform a variety of nursing duties in accordance with current policies and nursing care standards. You may have the opportunity to work in other city and rural satellite dialysis units within AKC-N. Please note, candidates who are chosen for an interview will be contacted by email. This position is based in 5B1 Hemodialysis at the University of Alberta Hospital. Casual Employment: As a casual employee (on a call-in basis), you will not have a regular schedule and there will be no minimum hours guaranteed for any week or month.
