Position Summary The LPN assists physicians and non-physician clinicians (NPs and PAs) with the examination and treatment of patients. This role requires clinical skill, independent judgment, and a commitment to patient care and education. Duties & Responsibilities I. Patient Care Assess patient health status and assist in prioritizing immediate needs Prepare patients for exams; record vital signs and medical histories Administer medications and assist with procedures as ordered Document nursing actions and effectiveness in progress notes Monitor and maintain emergency equipment and medical supply inventory E-scribe or phone in prescriptions as per protocol Notify patients of lab results per provider instruction Support training of CMA/nursing students and personnel Perform ancillary procedures (e.g., EKGs, peak flow tests, audiometry) Triage walk-in or call-in patients using established guidelines Support QA and participate in health fairs and outreach activities II. Patient Education & Communication Provide health education and clarification of provider instructions Explain diagnostic procedures and ensure patient understanding Serve as a positive role model for peers and students Location Columbus, GA Talbotton, GA Fortson, GA Requirements Current Practical Nursing License in the State of Georgia 1–2 years of practical nursing experience preferred Knowledge of primary healthcare practices and procedures Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines Previous supervisory experience is a plus Compliance & Confidentiality Adheres to all Federal, State, and local regulations, including HIPAA Privacy & Security guidelines Must sign and uphold the facility’s Pledge of Confidentiality Responsible for securing electronic health records and personal workspaces Physical & Environmental Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Full range of motion required to assist patients Exposure to communicable diseases, medical solutions, and clinical equipment Must be able to work under pressure and irregular hours as needed Benefits 100% Company-paid Medical and Long-term Disability Insurance No-cost Medical, Dental, and Vision services at our offices.
