Our Mission-is to improve the health and wellness of the North Etobicoke area by providing multidisciplinary rehabilitation service under one roof to our immediate and surrounding community with cost effective, outcomes-based physiotherapy/Rehabilitative services in a proactive communicative approach in order to enable the client to achieve maximum functional Independence.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, therapy, and support to individuals, particularly children, in various settings including hospitals and educational environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and the ability to conduct research to inform treatment plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Psychologist with a valid state license to practice as a psychologist
  • Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D., M.A or Psy.D.)
  • Experience of treating MVA(Motor Vehicle Accidents)
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and data collection methods is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are also important qualities for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines and professional standards in psychology
  • Licensure/registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Proof of professional liability insurance
  • Strict adherence to the Standards and Professional Conduct of the College of Psychologists of Ontario

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year within Healthcare facility (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy sessions based on patient needs
  • Provide comprehensive mental health services to our patients
  • Contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, and overall well-being of individuals across various age groups
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients
  • Treat MVA(Motor Vehicle Accidents) patients (OCF-18)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient record
  • Stay updated with advancements in the field of psychology through research and continuing education
  • Prepare clinical reports with the support of psychometry and administrative staff
  • Collaborate as a Multidisciplinary Team Member to provide diagnoses and recommendations for ongoing treatment
  • Develop and communicate client-centered Treatment Plans
  • Participate in specialized assessments for Neurodevelopmental Conditions like ADHD and Learning Disabilities;
