Location: Multiple restaurant locations within the group (Toronto & surrounding areas)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends and after-hours availability as required

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled, licensed Refrigeration Technician to maintain, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems across our group of restaurants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime of walk-in coolers, freezers, display fridges, HVAC systems, ice machines, and other similar equipment.

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems in compliance with industry standards and local building codes.
• Troubleshoot issues with walk-in coolers, freezers, prep fridges, under-counter refrigeration units, and ice machines.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance across all sites.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, including after-hours as part of an on-call rotation.
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed, refrigerant use, and parts replacement.
• Collaborate with external contractors and vendors when required for larger repairs or installations.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in mechanical and equipment areas.
• Adhere to company safety policies, MOL (Ministry of Labour), and ESA (Employment Standards Act) regulations.
• Provide input and recommendations on capital improvements or equipment upgrades.
