Verhoef Electrical is currently seeking to hire a licensed journeyman to join their residential team. This new team member must adhere to the excellent customer service skills Verhoef Electric has been providing for over 40 years. Answering to the service manager and team lead, the new team member will work with other residential journeymen and apprentices.

• Oversee the renovation and installation of electrical systems in residential settings;
• Direct on-site workers, material requirements and schedules;
• Ensure the team’s compliance to the OHSA code;
• Effectively use the Ontario Electrical Safety Code;
• Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends;
• Troubleshoot and correct faults;
• Work independently and as part of a multi-function team;
• Provide effective communication to site workers and other contractors and office staff;
• Able to take and give directions and be receptive to training and mentor apprentices;
• Complete work orders and time tracking sheets at the end of each day;
• Ensure exceptional workmanship from all direct reports.
• Ensure job sites and vehicle maintain cleanliness
• Must be courteous/polite/professional
• Qualifications:
• Valid 309A license;
• Clean drivers license;
• Trade school transcript;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings;
• Customer service oriented
