FLEX SECURITY OFFICER (ON-CALL) Location: Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets – Pleasant Prairie, WI Position Type: Flexible / On-Call Security Officer POSITION SUMMARY Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets is seeking a reliable and flexible Security Officer to serve in a Flex / On-Call role. This position is responsible for assisting with coverage across all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support daily operations and reduce overtime requirements. The Flex Officer plays an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This position requires someone who can adapt quickly to changing schedules, fill open shifts on short notice, and support multiple security functions throughout the property. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide uniformed security presence throughout the property. * Conduct routine patrols of the shopping center, including parking lots, common areas, and tenant corridors. * Respond to security incidents, medical calls, and customer service requests. * Assist with traffic control, lost children reports, and guest assistance when needed. * Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and professionally. * Support opening and closing procedures when assigned. * Assist with crowd management during peak shopping periods, events, or holidays. * Maintain communication with site supervisors and management regarding incidents or operational concerns. * Operate security equipment including radios, patrol vehicles, and reporting systems. * Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security awareness. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLEX OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES * Be available for on-call scheduling to cover open shifts due to vacations, call-offs, or staffing shortages. * Work multiple shift types, including: * Morning shifts * Afternoon / evening shifts * Overnight shifts (if applicable) * Maintain schedule flexibility with short notice availability. * Assist in reducing overtime by filling uncovered shifts when possible. * Be capable of working multiple roles within the security operation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred. * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Strong communication and report writing skills. * Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. * Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if operating a patrol vehicle). * Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if required by employer policy). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Previous shopping center or retail security experience. * Experience with incident reporting systems and radio communication. * CPR / AED / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES The ideal candidate will be: * Highly reliable and dependable * Comfortable with last-minute scheduling changes * Professional in appearance and conduct * Strong in customer service and conflict resolution * Able to work independently with minimal supervision -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHY JOIN OUR TEAM Working at Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets offers the opportunity to be part of a professional security team responsible for protecting one of the region’s premier retail destinations.
