LICENSED TECHNICIAN – DATA CABLING & SECURITY

Location: Newcastle, Central Coast & Surrounding Areas
Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per year + Company Car + Penalty Rates
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & LICENSES

  • OH&S General Induction (White Card)
  • BICSI/ACRS Cabler Registration with competencies/endorsements OR Certificate III in Telecommunications
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Additional certifications or endorsements will be highly regarded
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This position requires an experienced self-motivated technician who can manage installations and service work while also supervising field staff when needed. The role involves working on a variety of commercial projects across Newcastle, the Central Coast, and surrounding areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and execute data cabling and security installation projects
  • Terminate and test copper and fibre structured cabling
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Provide high-quality workmanship and maintain excellent customer service
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with project managers and site teams
  • Travel occasionally for projects (travel allowances provided)
