This role is vital in helping veterans experiencing homelessness address mental health challenges, recover from trauma, and achieve long-term stability. What You’ll Do As a Licensed Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care and leadership in a dynamic service environment. Responsibilities include: Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, Seeking Safety, Trauma-Informed Care). Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs. Deliver crisis intervention and clinical support to veterans experiencing acute mental health or substance use challenges. Maintain accurate, confidential client records and electronic case notes in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. Coordinate care and collaborate with the VA, community providers, and other U.S.VETS program staff. Facilitate therapeutic groups for substance use recovery, PTSD, and other veteran-centered needs. Contribute to creating and maintaining a therapeutic living environment across programs. Ensure clinical practices align with state licensure requirements, professional ethics, and program/grant standards. Provide mentorship, training, and clinical support to case managers, interns, and program staff as needed. You Are Mission-Driven – You are deeply committed to serving veterans and fostering healing. Qualifications Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related human services field. Active independent licensure in California (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent). Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, EMDR, Seeking Safety, Trauma-Informed Care). Knowledge of military cultural competencies, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Valid driver’s license; must meet company insurance requirements. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Preferred: Certification or experience in Alcohol & Drug Counseling. Experience with Medicaid assessments and billing.
