Company Description Manitoulin Transport is looking for a Trailer Technician. Our technicians are critical to our business and, with a positive attitude and strong technical expertise, will continue to make Manitoulin Transport one of Canada's most successful LTL Carriers in the Industry. Job Description Position available in our Edmonton Garage for a Licensed Trailer Technician. Completing regular maintenance as well as yearly CVI inspections, as well as completing the required paperwork on vans, flat decks and converter dollies. FURTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races, and associated parts. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and lighting systems, and associated parts. Repair or replace chassis components including springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, subframes and their associated parts, air bags and air system components. Repair or replace bumpers, bumper braces, mud flap brackets, dolly legs/ dolly leg assemblies, and any other associated part by means of welding or cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch. Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim, and perform minor repairs to roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails, and all associated parts. Clean your own personal area during and at the end of each shift. Assist in performing any task outside those not listed in the primary job functions. Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift.
