Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic Location: Winchester Physician Services 2006 Decherd Blvd, Decherd, TN. 37324 Overview We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Winchester Physician Services team. In this role, you’ll support patient care under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse (RN) — contributing directly to the health and comfort of our patients. Key Responsibilities Please provide direct patient care in accordance with the LPN's scope of practice and established standards. Contribute to patient assessments by collecting data for RN review. Perform plan-of-care interventions such as wound care and specimen collection; may administer medications as permitted. Support the RN in developing and updating patient care plans. Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and comfort. Monitor and document patient status and report changes to the RN, provider, and care team. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring physical and emotional well-being. Schedule appointments, coordinate procedures, and obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and safety initiatives. Qualifications Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program. Current LPN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, in good standing with the Board of Health Professions. BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer. Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance verification, and general healthcare processes required. Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
