Job Title: Licensing Executive Location: Covent Garden (Hybrid-1 Day in office per week, Thursday) About the role: We are looking for a Licensing Executive to join our Knowledge Solutions team at BSI. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of licensing agreements, working closely with internal teams and external partners to manage relationships, maximise revenue, and ensure compliance with copyright and intellectual property standards. This is a commercially focused role that blends relationship management, contract negotiation, and operational delivery. You will play a key part in supporting the Licensing team’s revenue targets while developing your expertise in copyright, IP, and the wider standards and publishing ecosystem. Responsibilities: Negotiate, draft, and manage new and existing licensing agreements Support the achievement of team revenue targets through new business and renewals Manage the end-to-end royalties lifecycle, including tracking, processing, and verification Build and maintain strong relationships with licensees, including renewals and pricing updates Provide accurate quotations in line with established pricing models within SLA timelines Respond to copyright-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders Identify and address potential copyright infringements of BSI intellectual property Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve partner and channel queries Contribute to continuous improvement of licensing processes and ways of working To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have: Experience in licensing, publishing, or a related content-driven environment A strong understanding of copyright and intellectual property principles Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence working with data, including Excel for analysis and reporting Solid numeracy skills and attention to detail A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently when needed Strong problem-solving skills and commercial awareness Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment Graduate-level education (qualifications in copyright law or contract drafting are advantageous) BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.
