As a Licensing Officer, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for third-party companies, guiding them through the licensing process to ensure they meet the requirements for operating airside at Heathrow Airport. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining compliance by conducting assurance checks, producing detailed reports, and evaluating outcomes against established licensing criteria. Working closely with the Lead Licensing Manager, you’ll help uphold high standards and support the smooth delivery of licensing operations.

  • Conduct assurance checks, produce reports, and maintain accurate records of licenses issued, renewed, or revoked.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders such as the BSC, Airlines, Ground Handlers, AOC, and Terminal teams.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of licensees via Airport Gateway, including regular meetings and ensuring vehicle and GSE compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the contract approval process for newly awarded contracts in line with the General Notice, and support Ground Handler changes through effective coordination.
  • Handle monthly and annual invoicing for licensees, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Ensure the organisation remains compliant with all relevant licensing requirements, supporting the Lead Licensing Manager in delivering the audit programme if required.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrates strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, use initiative, and take a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a well-developed understanding of digital tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in delivering presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.Able to make timely, well-reasoned decisions even when operating with limited information, and clearly justify the rationale behind those decisions.
