The Team: We are News Licensing, the content licensing team for News UK’s stable of brands. We represent our own staff and freelance photographers and writers, licensing their material as well as our brands, to clients around the world. Our clients include digital & print publishers, TV & film production companies, book publishers, educational establishments and corporates.
Your Role: With a focus on commercial sales development you will support the Corporate Awards business working across both operational and commercial activities. You will have shared responsibility in managing the sales pipeline for trademark licensing of brands including The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, The Times Money Mentor and Style Fashion awards as well as helping to drive general growth in awards licensing revenue and operations.
Day to day:
+ Collaborate with the Operations Manager to help grow awards trademark licensing revenue.
+ Identify and help to present new corporate award ideas to the team and wider business.
+ Identify sales growth opportunities for existing corporate awards.
+ Work with the licensing operations executive to manage the corporate awards website, manage user requests and deal with customer enquiries.
+ Represent licensing at editorial meetings on existing corporate awards to ensure changes and updates are made.
+ Day to day licensing sales activity on awards including outgoing sales, invoicing, credit control and general administration.
What we’re looking for from you:
+ A commercially focused sales professional with the ability to meet and exceed agreed targets.
+ An understanding of intellectual property law and rights.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Competency with common business applications including MS Office.
+ Excellent time management, organisation and prioritising skills.
+ Ability to think and act quickly under pressure.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
+ Understanding of our business/marketplace.
+ Prior experience of working in an endorsement licensing role is preferred but not essential.
