Foster Care, Licensing Specialist Gastonia, NC CONTRACT This is a 1099 Contract position What will you do? The role of the licensing specialist is to assist in development and provision of the Therapeutic Foster Care training and oversee the processing of the identified TFC parents through screening and licensing requirements. Recruiters for TFC will screen candidates, conduct interviews, and process references and background checks. This individual will also conduct TFC training and coordination of resource development. · Screening Applicants to become foster parents with CTS. · Conducting interviews of potential foster parents. · Train all potential and current foster parents and ensure parents meet all training requirements set forth by the state. · Relicensed current foster parents · Processing background and reference checks · Assisting in coordination and leading pre-service orientation (MAPP and Deciding Together) · Facilitate the flow of information, particularly as it affects the delivery of services to the consumer. · Responsible for attending to all the rules and regulations of the agency, state and federal statues, and attending rules of quality improvement, medical records, finance, etc. of the agency (including delivery of service t consumers under best practice models). · Conducting and writing Home Studies for potential foster patents and submitting them to the state for review · Assist with supervision and arising problems of current foster parents. · Processing initial and ongoing required HR protocols and paperwork · Maintain TFP records/charts per regulatory and company policies. · Conducting quarterly health and safety reviews and other TFC recruitment tasks. · Conduct and attend child family team meetings as needed. Requirements What qualifications do you need? Bachelor Level Applicants: · Must possess degree at the time of application. · Degree must be in the human services field. Or two years’ experience with population served. · Qualified Mental Health status required. · Criminal records check, finger printing, and HCPR check is a prerequisite for · employment consideration. · MAPP or Deciding Together certificate preferred but will train the right candidate. General Requirements: · Must be at least 18 years old. · Must have a vehicle to deliver services. · Must be able to actively participate in consumer activities. · What’s in it for you?
