About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated life actuary to join our LUX actuarial team. The role will provide valuable actuarial experience into life insurance and reinsurance business. You will support the day to day tasks of the actuarial team in relation to valuation of reserves (Local GAAP and Solvency II), including the financial reporting process, asset liability management analyses, assumption setting and participating in various actuarial projects both at local or group level. The life actuary will be fully involved in actuarial projects, supporting integration of new portfolios. Responsibilities Assist in the quarterly closing process including calculation and control of local GAAP reserves, analysis of margins; Assist in the quarterly Solvency II reporting; Assist the actuarial team in the preparation of the reinsurance accounting; Assist in the preparation of group and regulatory disclosures and reports; Assist with the production of the annual experience investigations (biometric experience, expense reserves…), and the recommendations of actuarial assumptions; Assist with business planning and stress testing processes; Assist the risk management function in the implementation and production of assets or ALM risk indicators Assist with the annual expense reserve process; Assist in the preparation of the actuarial function report, and SFCR / RSR; Support the risk team with the ORSA process and quantitative analyses; Provide actuarial support to other teams, particularly Finance, Investments and Risk. Role Requirements Master degree in actuarial science, with an actuarial qualification; Experience of 1 to 2 years within an insurance / or consulting insurance; Experiences in coding (R, Python, IA), data and process improvement are key; Solvency II experience is an asset; Fluent in English, French is an asset; Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; Dynamic team player able to collaborate and share with other colleagues; Curious with an appetite to learn and agile; Energetic and passionate with a positive attitude and solution oriented; Willing to accept a variety of challenging technical and non-technical matters.
